⚠️ Avoiding Unexpected Costs
DPD applies specific surcharges for parcels that fall outside the “Standard” automation flow:
1. The Oversize Surcharge (€7.95)
If limits (3kg / 50cm / 111cm) are exceeded, it reclassifies as a Normal Parcel (NP), triggering a €7.95 surcharge per parcel.
2. Non-Standard Parcel (NSP) Surcharge
Your package must be “machine-friendly.” Avoid cylinders, bulging bags, or loose plastic wrap. Ensure labels are flat and legible.
