Ectaroship provides access to shipping services offered by third-party carriers such as DPD, DHL, PostNL, FedEx, Bpost and other logistics providers.

All shipments created through Ectaroship must comply with:

  • the applicable laws and regulations
  • the shipping rules of the selected carrier
  • this Restricted Items Policy

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the contents of their shipments comply with all applicable restrictions.

2. Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited and must not be shipped using the Ectaroship platform.

This list includes, but is not limited to:

Dangerous Goods

  • explosives
  • fireworks
  • flammable liquids
  • flammable gases
  • hazardous chemicals
  • corrosive substances
  • toxic materials
  • radioactive materials

Weapons and Military Items

  • firearms
  • ammunition
  • weapon components
  • explosives or military equipment

Illegal Items

  • illegal drugs
  • controlled substances
  • counterfeit goods
  • stolen goods
  • products violating intellectual property rights

Financial Instruments and Valuables

  • cash
  • banknotes
  • negotiable instruments
  • precious metals
  • precious stones
  • high-value collectibles

Human or Animal Remains

  • human remains
  • organs
  • biological samples requiring special transport

Shipments containing prohibited items may be:

  • refused by the carrier
  • confiscated by authorities
  • destroyed without compensation

All liability in such cases remains with the customer.

3. Restricted Items

  • electronics containing lithium batteries

Customers must verify carrier rules before shipping such items.

4. Lithium Batteries and Electronics

Shipments containing lithium batteries are subject to special regulations.

Examples include:

Customers must ensure compliance with:

  • applicable transport regulations

Failure to comply may result in shipment refusal or destruction.

5. Food and Perishable Products

Perishable goods may spoil during transport.

Carriers may refuse liability for damage or spoilage of food products.

Customers shipping food items do so at their own risk.

6. Fragile Goods

Proper protective packaging is required.

Customers shipping fragile goods assume the risk of potential damage during transport.

7. Liquids

Carriers may destroy leaking shipments without compensation.

8. Carrier Authority

Carriers reserve the right to:

These actions may occur without prior notice.

Ectaroship has no authority to intervene in such decisions.

9. Customer Responsibility

Customers are fully responsible for ensuring that their shipments:

  • comply with applicable laws
  • comply with carrier restrictions
  • do not contain prohibited items

If prohibited items are discovered, the customer may be responsible for:

  • penalties
  • fines
  • damages to other shipments
  • carrier disposal costs

10. Limitation of Liability

Ectaroship acts solely as a technology platform facilitating access to carrier services.

Ectaroship shall not be liable for:

  • shipments containing prohibited items
  • confiscated or destroyed shipments
  • damages resulting from restricted items
  • carrier decisions related to restricted goods

11. Policy Updates

Ectaroship reserves the right to update this Restricted Items Policy at any time.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the latest version before creating shipments.

12. Acceptance of Policy

By creating a shipment through the Ectaroship platform, customers confirm that:

  • the shipment does not contain prohibited items
  • they comply with all applicable carrier rules
  • they accept this Restricted Items Policy
