Surcharge for Non-standard processing, Non-standard processing of heavy parcels & Exceeding maximum parcel dimensions
A parcel will receive a surcharge for ‘Non-standard processing’ if a parcel meets one or more criteria from the table “Criteria surcharges” below. In this case, the parcel cannot be processed by the sorting machine without aids, so not without people, machines or contents running a risk of damage. Parcels that meet this requirement will be processed differently. Non-standard processing can extend the delivery time.
If a parcel exceeds the maximum weight of the standard parcel (see the criteria for this in the table “Criteria surcharges” below), the parcel will receive the surcharge for “Non-standard processing of heavy parcels”. The above surcharges can be charged separately or combined. In addition, if a parcel is larger than 50 dm3, the Surcharge for Large Packages may be added.
The size of your parcels is an important factor in the costs of our logistics supply chain. Large parcels take up more space during transport. That is why parcels from 50 dm3 receive a surcharge depending on the size. Only the highest Surcharge Large Parcels will be charged.
The (highest) Surcharge Large Parcels can be charged separately or combined with the surcharges ‘non-standard processing’ and/or ‘non-standard processing heavy parcels’.
Surcharge for Exceeding maximum parcel dimensions
If the maximum parcel dimensions (see the criteria for this in the table “Criteria Surcharges”) are exceeded, a surcharge “Exceeding maximum parcel dimensions” will be charged instead of the surcharges ‘Non-standard processing’, ‘Non-standard processing heavy parcels’ and/or ‘Large Parcels’. In addition, in the case of EU Parcels, Easy Return Service & Non-EU Parcels, the parcel will be returned to the Sender.
